WEEKEND IN BURSA, TURKEY

It is always nice to visit our artisans and we get to go to new cities every week :-)

This weekend we are in Bursa which was the capital city of the Ottoman Empire for long time and it is filled with beautiful buildings from the Ottoman Empire period.
It also has the Uludag Mountain where is very popular amongst Turkish people for ski vacations.

Kizlar Hani is in the middle of the city and a perfect place for a cup of Turkish Coffee while watching people shopping from the local stores.

Added these beautiful cushions to our collection, of course! Here where you can shop them:

Turkish Copper Art is everywhere in Bursa! We fell in love with these Copper Trays and you can shop them here:

Antique stores are a must see!

COPPER ART IN TURKEY

It is not clearly known when Anatolian Copper Art began but today, copper is one of the most used materials for serve ware, cookware and home decor in Turkey!
What makes Turkish Copper ware exclusive is that each of them are made of one-piece, without putting together different copper pieces.
Artisans use only traditional ways and handmade for each detail.
They use a hammer to structure the rough copper piece, after this process they use a method which is called `hitting and striking´ and they work delicately on each motif, which can take weeks and sometimes even months! Here we want to share some pictures of our talented Anatolian Artisan, you can shop their artworks on our website; www.grandbazaarshopping.com
